Things to Know Before WordCamp

Thank you for signing up to attend this event. We hope you love the sessions, yet much of what comes out of going to a WordCamp happens between sessions.

So take the time to meet people and find out what they are doing. You will not find a more open and available community anywhere.

NAME BADGE: If you registered online your name badge will be waiting for you at registration.

REGISTRATION: We open the doors at 8:15 and start at 9:00 AM. Please don’t come too early. There is plenty of time to check-in, get your tshirt, and grab some coffee and a bite to eat.

LOCATION: The Loudermilk Center is located at 40 Courtland Street NE in Downtown, Atlanta. The Loudermilk Center is Wheelchair Accessible on both floors as well as the parking lot. Follow our signs for the entrance as it is easy to miss. For Maps and Directions.

PARKING: Parking for all attendees will be provided in the parking garage adjacent to the building. Follow our signs to the parking garage. Parking is free, if you bring your parking  ticket inside and have it stamped at the registration desk. Do not park in the surface lot across from the front door.

FOOD & BEVERAGE: Coffee and water and sodas will be available throughout the day. Lunch will be included. We have vegetarian and regular choices. There will be non gluten items, but if you need a totally gluten-free meal,  please let someone know at registration and we can get it prepared for you.

INTERNET / WIFI: Access is available to everyone, however there are a lot of people with phones, tablets and laptops logged in at the same time. If you have a wifi hotspot at home we advise bringing it with you. This is especially helpful for speakers and people using the happiness room.

SCHEDULE: If you want a printed copy of the schedule look for the link to it in the side bar or on the menu or use this link to download a copy before leaving home: WordCamp Atlanta 2015 Schedule

SOCIAL MEDIA: We trust your experience at WordCamp Atlanta will be so awesome you’ll want to share it with the world. The official hashtag is #WCATL. Include the hashtag on Instagram and your photos will auto-update the WordCamp Atlanta Facebook photo album.

PHOTOS: We will have a photographer or two and those photos will be posted to FLICKR a few days after camp. You can search for the group, WordCamp Atlanta 2015.

WE ARE READY TO HELP: If you have general questions, find someone wearing the “Ask me. I know stuff.” badge.

WORDPRESS HELP: If you have questions about your WordPress website, be sure to bring your questions and your laptop to our HAPPINESS BAR. We will have a team of rotating WordPress experts to help you on Saturday and Sunday.

HAPPY HOUR SATURDAY: After a full day of information overload we will celebrate with amazing apps – on the house at NONI’S, the hip neighborhood Italian Deli at 357 Edgewood Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30312. Feel free to invite significant others.

We want to acknowledge that WordCamp Atlanta is put on by 100% volunteer power backed by our generous sponsors. Our organizer team , all the people working with us on the committees, and members of our MeetUp Groups are the heart and soul of this community. Thanks to all of you who make this event possible.

is it too late to get tickets for the beginners class this weekend in Atlanta? I would like to send a employee last minute.
